The way the territories work

Green Assess franchisees are asked to select an exclusive referral territory which they would like to work in and secure referrals for their own franchise business. This is usually, but not necessarily, based within close proximity to their home or existing office.

Securing a territory

By securing a territory, you are ensuring that all leads from Green Assess for that area are referred to your business. Although franchisees are not restricted to working outside of their allocated area (i.e. non-franchised areas), Green Assess will only take on one operator per area, and no other franchisee is allowed to operate within that secured territory.

Green business territory sizes

Territory sizes are determined by the number of postcode areas that a franchisee wishes to cover. These are based on the first part of a postcode (e.g. WA1, B1, EC1, YO1). The more postcode pre-fixes that you select, the larger the area (and number of people / businesses) that will be secured.

 

Territory sizes for domestic franchises

The following rules apply for the ‘Green Residential’’ franchise packages - For the standard franchise package of £5995 + VAT (including 50% special entry reduction offer), you are able to select postcodes which cover a population of up to 100,000 people. Selected postcodes must be adjoining and split between no more than two local authority areas. This is worked out using Census data showing population figures per postcode.

Additional postcode areas can be purchased and included as part of the secured territory for an additional £595 + VAT per 10,000 people.

For example - if a franchisee wanted to secure postcodes WA1 - WA3 and the total population living within this postcode range was 120,000, then the licence fee to secure this territory would be £7185 + VAT (i.e. £5995 std licence fee, plus £1190 for additional 20,000 population coverage).

Territory sizes the Green Commercial franchise

Due to the inconsistent nature of the geography of commercial premises, the exact size of the commercial franchise area will be calculated based on the types and density of commercial premises within your preferred postcodes to ensure business viability.

Selected postcodes must be adjoining and split between no more than two local authority areas. This is worked out using specialist software which provides a breakdown of the number and types of businesses per postcode.
